OLA has two fifth grade classrooms. The fifth grade classrooms, along with grades 6-8, are on the upper floor of the main school building. This area is considered the Junior  High part of the school so students do experience greater frequency in switching classes and becoming independent learners. The fifth grade students are involved in numerous activities such as choir, band, student council, and fine arts not to mention the array of special classes offered at OLA; Spanish, music, computer, art, physical education, and library.
